1 Make sure the appliance is switched off and unplugged.
2 Let the appliance cool down on a heat-resistant surface before you
store it.
3 Use the easy-lock system to lock the two halves of the appliance
together before you store it.
Environment
Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste
at the end of its life, but hand it in at an ofcial collection point for
recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the environment (Fig. 7).

Why doesn’t
the appliance
work?
Perhaps there is a power failure or the socket is not
live. Check if the power supply works. If it works,
plug another appliance into the socket to check
whether the socket is live.
Perhaps the mains cord is damaged. If the mains cord
is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a
service centre authorised by Philips or similarly
qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
