Environment
- Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but
hand it in at an ofcial collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the
environment (Fig. 17).

This chapter summarises the most common problems you could encounter with the appliance. If
you are unable to solve the problem with the information below, contact the Consumer Care
Centre in your country.

The steamer
does not work.
The steamer is not plugged in. Put the plug in the wall socket.
There is no water in the water tank. Fill the water tank.
You have not turned the steaming
time adjustment knob to the
desired steaming time yet.
Turn the steaming time adjustment
knob to the desired steaming time.
You have not yet set a steaming
time with the steaming time
adjustment knob.
Set a steaming time.
Not all the food
is cooked.
Some pieces of food in the steamer
are larger and/or require a longer
steaming time than others.
Set a longer steaming time with the
steaming time adjustment knob.
Put larger pieces of food and food that
requires a longer steaming time in the
bottom steaming bowl (no. 1).
You put too much food in the
steaming bowls.
Do not overload the steaming bowls.
Cut the food into small pieces and put
the smallest pieces on top.
Arrange the food with spaces between
the pieces to enable maximum ow of
steam.
The appliance
does not heat up
properly.
You have not descaled the appliance
regularly.
Descale the appliance. See chapter
‘Cleaning and maintenance’.
Food table and steaming tips
The steaming times mentioned in the table below are only an indication. Steaming times may vary
depending on the size of the food pieces, the spaces between the food in the steaming bowl, the
amount of food in the bowl, the freshness of the food and your personal preference.
