Menu Copier Menu/Copy Mode/Select Mode
Purpose Use this menu to specify what type of copy is being made so
the printer can optimize for this type output.
Choices Automatic Gray, Custom Gray, Binary B/W, Halftone B/W
Default Automatic Gray
Notes Automatic Gray—Sets color depth to 8-bit gray and scan
resolution to 200 dpi. Use this option when copying
documents that are color or shades of gray. Best quality
output for images.
Custom Gray—Allows you to adjust grayscale values.
» Note: In order to change the default grayscale value, you
must choose the Custom Gray option in this menu.
Binary B/W—Allows you to adjust binary thresholds. Good for
text.
Halftone B/W—Allows you to adjust the brightness of halftone
images.
Menu Copier Menu/Copy Mode/Origin
Purpose Use this menu to specify where the copy is to begin scanning
the source material
Choices X Offset (0—850)
Y Offset (0—1100)
Default Both choices are set to 0
Notes This option assigns the top-left corner of the image, so
printing with defaults places the image at the top leftmost
corner of the page.
