ö Digital Crystal Clear (on Pr/Cr Pb/Cb Y
Progressive Scan Video Out only)
It allows you to fine-tune the following settings (Gamma,
Sha De and DCDi) on the progressive
scan output Use 3 4 to adjust the values of these settings,
then press OK to exit.
Gam - allows you to adjust the intensity of the picture
non-linearly. A positive value allows you to bring out low
level detail in dark scenes, while a negative value will
emphasize contrast.
Sha-allows you to adjust sharpness of the picture.
ChrDe - is where the chrome (color) and luma
(brightness) signals are not synchronized. This allows you to
adjust the advance delay of the chrome signal to yield a
perfectly clear picture.
DCD (New Directional Correlation Deinterlacing)-
computes and tracks the angle of edge to fill in the missing
pixel on the TV screen. Switching DCDi ON will optimize
the image quality significantly, especially during the slow
motion playback.
ö TV System (NTSC/PAL conversion)
This setting is applicable only if you used the CVBS or
Pr/Cr Pb/Cb Y jacks to connect the DVD system to a TV.
Select the color system that matches the connected TV.
Youdo not need to change the setting if your TV is
NTSThefactorydefault setting is NTSC.
However, it will not support the PAL format DVDs and
playback of a PAL DVD is not possible.
If your TV is compatible with both NTSC and PAL,
select AUTO.
If your TV is PAL-compatible,
sel PA . It will change the video signal of a NTSC disc
and playback in PAL format.
Note:
Slight picture distortions may occur due to this conversion.
This is normal.

ö Digital output
Digital output lets you specify the type of digital output
available with the other equipment connected.
Select All, if you have onnected the D ms
DIGITAL OUT jack to an equipment that has a
multichannel decoder.
Select PCM only (default setting), if the other quipment is
not capable of decoding multichannel audio.
Select Off to deactivate the digital output.
Note:
You cannot hear the SACD or MP3-CD playback if you use
the digital connection.
ö Analog output
Select Stereo, 3D und rround) nel
to match your DVD home cinema systems playback
capability.
This function can also be accessed via the
SURROUND button on the remote control.
ö Night mode
Select On to level out the olume, high lume puts ll
be softened. For example, the disc will play at the same
sound level throughout the movie.
ö Karaoke vocal (not functional for this model)
