Disc Settings

Format a recordable DVD disc

Some DVD+VR, DVD±R/+R DL and

DVD±RW discs have to be formatted before it

can be used for recording on this recorder.

Notes

This option is required when you are using a

rewritable DVD data disc (e.g. MP3, JPEG ﬁ les) for

video recording.

Once the disc is formatted, all the contents on it will

be removed.

•

1 Press SETUP.

2 Select [ Disc ] > [ Format ], then press

OK.

A conﬁ rmation message is displayed.

3 Select [ OK ] and press OK.

To cancel, se

lect [ Cancel ], then press

OK.

4 To exit, press SETUP.



Lock/ Unlock a disc

Prevent recordings from being accidentally

erased or edited by locking the recordable DVD.

Note

If the disc is locked, this option changes

[ Unlock ]. This option is used to unlock a

recordable DVD recorded on another DVD

recorder.

•

1 Press SETUP.

2 Select [ Disc ] > [ Lock ], then press OK.

A conﬁ rmation message is displayed.

3 Select [ OK ] and press OK.

To cancel, select [ Cancel ], then press

OK..

4 To exit, press SETUP.

Prepare a DVDRW for playback

See chapter ‘Edit titles on a recordable disc –

Play the recorded DVD on other players’.


